The greatest way to grow your relationship with your small group over the summer is through Bootcamp & Camp 75
What does Bootcamp look like as a SGL?
As our students head to Bootcamp the week of June 18th - 22nd, they're going to be learning, leading, and growing in so many ways. As a small group leader, being present and a part of this experience is so essential to both the individual faith of each of your students, as well as the overall bonding of your entire small group. At Bootcamp, you almost double the amount of time you get to spend with your small group throughout the course of the year, and your presence is so significant.

Cost
Riverbend Retreat Center charges us $205 per person for the week of Bootcamp, so $205 is also the price for you as a small group leader. However, if money is the barrier between you coming or not, please talk to Jordan or Matt and we will work with you.

The Week
The week of Bootcamp includes a variety of different activities. As a small group leader, you'll lead your small group through time with God in the morning, stay with them in cabins for the late night conversations, have one entire theme night and discussion dedicated to small groups, and also provide extra camp management, supervision, and FUN during times like free times, theme nights, lights out, and meal times.

Attend Training
Adult leader training is mandatory and will include helpful camp management information, state mandated sexual assault training, and tons of FUN.

We have theme nights every night at Bootcamp! Click below to see our themes for 2019. We go all out for theme nights, but going all out doesn't mean spending a lot of money. It means having fun, being creative, and having a blast with your team and small group.

No! We are happy to have hosts that don’t attend Northpoint, we do however ask you to attend one of our trainings.
Because we're coordinating over 40 teams with roughly 300 students or so, we are locked into those 3 time slots. There may be slight flexibility, but we need to keep it in those parameters generally.

Yes! If you have an outdoor space for the camp and the apartment staff approves, then you can absolutely host at an apartment. We have many apartment hosts each year.

Every team will have at least one adult driver, and at times more will be present. If you have a specific student to adult ratio, we can work this out ahead of time.

No. Camp 75 is a local retreat which means your student will come home each night after camp 75 is over for the day. Students have a break from 11:30am till 3:45pm each day. They will need to be picked up from Northpoint, or arrange for other transportation.
Before leaving for bootcamp you will place all of your student's medication in a bag. When you arrive to drop your student off for bootcamp you will fill out the dosage and times for the medication to be taken. There will be a registered nurse who will be administering the medication on site.
It’s up to you, but we encourage hosts to hold camp in their front yard so your neighbors can see all the fun going on and to encourage more people to come, but if you feel like your backyard is a better environment for the kids and students we will leave that up to you.

Camp 75 drivers need to commit to drive Monday-Thursday for either morning camps, evening camps, or both. There are no camps between the hours of 12 and 5:00pm. You will be off during that time.

There is not a registration fee to drive for Camp 75. Other than gas in your car, it is nice to have a cooler with some drinks and snacks for the students you are driving. This is not a requirement, but fun to have. In the past, some drivers have taken their team to Sonic for drinks or even to lunch. This is up to you and not a requirement.

Yes, you will drive the student team to each camp and remain at the camp(s) with them. While at the camp, you can assist the host with anything he/she needs and be there for the team.
