What does Bootcamp look like as a SGL?
As our students head to Bootcamp the week of June 18th - 22nd, they're going to be learning, leading, and growing in so many ways. As a small group leader, being present and a part of this experience is so essential to both the individual faith of each of your students, as well as the overall bonding of your entire small group. At Bootcamp, you almost double the amount of time you get to spend with your small group throughout the course of the year, and your presence is so significant.
Riverbend Retreat Center charges us $205 per person for the week of Bootcamp, so $205 is also the price for you as a small group leader. However, if money is the barrier between you coming or not, please talk to Jordan or Matt and we will work with you.
The week of Bootcamp includes a variety of different activities. As a small group leader, you'll lead your small group through time with God in the morning, stay with them in cabins for the late night conversations, have one entire theme night and discussion dedicated to small groups, and also provide extra camp management, supervision, and FUN during times like free times, theme nights, lights out, and meal times.
Here is a sample adult leader schedule from 2018. Please note that this is from last summer and subject to change, though it can help give a picture of the life at Bootcamp for a small group leader.
Adult leader training is mandatory and will include helpful camp management information, state mandated sexual assault training, and tons of FUN.
Wednesday, June 12th @ 6:30PM at Northpoint

Get Pumped for Theme Nights
We have theme nights every night at Bootcamp! Click below to see our themes for 2019. We go all out for theme nights, but going all out doesn't mean spending a lot of money. It means having fun, being creative, and having a blast with your team and small group.

How can I serve my small group during the week of Camp 75?
Though the week of Camp 75 is designed around teams that are mixed with different grades and genders, small group leaders can be involved in various ways. Leaders can serve by hosting and driving, leading small groups that take place from 4:00-4:45pm, as well as hanging out with their groups during free time. Many groups will pick a day to hangout between 11:30am - 4:00pm during free time.
What does it cost for a student to attend Bootcamp?
It costs $369 for a student to attend Bootcamp and Camp 75. If a student in your small group has concerns about finances, find out more here.
What are our themes this year?
Our themes are not quite set for this year, but they'll be communicated to adult leaders as soon as they are.
Who will lead my small group if I'm not there?
For InsideOut groups, if neither leader is present during the week of Bootcamp, we will try to have an intern or members of our College Crew lead your small group throughout the week. If you're a Transit leader, we may ask your student co-leader to help out, or have an intern or College Crew member lead their group as the student's time with their own small group is important as well.
If I have the ability to work from home, can I work from Riverbend?
Yes! While we can guarantee you will be tired and distracted, you can certainly sneak away as needed to knock out some work and we can get you access to the wi-fi if that will help you be able to attend during the week.
Do I have to come the entire week?
It would be ideal to be able to count on you for the entire week so that you're there for every small group, every adult leader need, etc. However, having you there part of the time is way better than not at all, so you can certainly come if it is only for part of the week.
